The Rising Star in Dependability Award is presented annually at DSN to a junior researcher from academia or industry who demonstrates outstanding potential for creative ideas and innovative research. It is jointly sponsored by the IEEE Technical Community on Dependable Computing and Fault Tolerance and IFIP Working Group 10.4 on Dependable Computing and Fault Tolerance.

Eligibility and Nominations

Under the current award rules, candidates must have graduated no more than ten years before the nomination deadline, with career disruptions or delays taken into consideration by the selection committee. Self-nominations are not accepted.
